On December 11th, 2005, the Land Of Plenty will be having its first Board Show and Public Auction Fundraiser at the Brooklyn Projects Skateshop, 7664 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90046-7441 from 7-10pm. 50+ hand painted skateboards will be available for purchase; there will also be music, drinks, and mini ramp action.

Per the LOP model, blank boards have been distributed throughout the city of Los Angeles and beyond to young skaters in exchange for hand painting a board. 25+ of these boards will be on display, and will be sold to generate money for the foundation. All proceeds will go into the purchase of more blank boards, so the project can continue and extend deeper into the community. A corresponding Ebay auction will help generate maximum support.

There will also be a number of guest boards painted by professional skaters and artists who have generously donated their time and skills to help support the cause. This list currently includes Donny Barley, Steve Olson, Jason Rogers, Eric Dressen, Jahmal Williams, Brian Lotti, Rich Jacobs, Tim Kerr, Bret Banta, Bart Saric, Steven Nereo, Sam Velde, Doug Miles, Gomez Bueno, Rob Abeyta Jr, Geoff Mcfetridge, Andy Jenkins, and more. Check back for updates to this list as it is getting hot.

We will also be selling limited edition t-shirts and will have information on other ways you can contribute to The Land Of Plenty, and how your donations will be utilized to promote skateboarding, artistic expression, and good life living.
